🔥 New in V0.5

📜 Major Story Expansion
The story continues well beyond V0.4, delivering a complete, polished chapter of Halafarin’s journey. Narrative pacing, atmosphere, and tension have been refined to better support a darker, more immersive experience.

📖 Compendium / Character Log Introduced
A brand-new Compendium system has been added. Characters, enemies, and lore entries unlock as you encounter them in the world. Not all entries are available yet — some are intentionally reserved for future updates.

🧠 Stronger Focus on Awareness & Consequences
Choices now rely even more on observation, logic, and common sense. Missing details, ignoring warnings, or acting carelessly can lead to failure — or death. The game actively rewards players who pay attention.

🧭 Narrative & Flow Improvements
Scenes have been reworked for smoother transitions, clearer objectives, and stronger emotional beats. Inner thoughts and environmental cues have been expanded to deepen immersion.

⚙️ System Polish & Stability Pass
Numerous refinements and bug fixes across UI, inventory interactions, and progression systems to ensure a stable, release-ready experience for V0.5

🔄 Update Schedule

Black Fox is updated roughly every 4–6 months, with each major version bringing:

🧭 New story arcs that push Halafarin’s journey further
🛠️ New items and gameplay mechanics
🎯 More meaningful choices and consequences that shape the world and its characters
🏪 A proper shop system (next update) — buy and sell items, manage coins, and interact with merchants in a more structured and immersive way

⚗️ Alchemy & crafting (next update) — the foundations of alchemy will be introduced, allowing players to unlock new crafting possibilities through exploration and discovery… though not all knowledge reveals itself willingly

🗡️ Equipment system (planned) — weapons and armour will become wearable gear, separated from simply sitting in the inventory, allowing for clearer progression and deeper character customization

⚠️ Minor updates or patches may occur between major versions to fix bugs, improve balance, or tweak gameplay systems.
